3 Favorite Lectures, Fishbowl and Workshops

Workshop #2

This had to be my favorite workshop that I have done because we were able to make a creative spin on the ending of The Children of the Sea. I was able to learn how to connect pop culture to this story. I wish it was related to American Sniper but it was still interesting and fun. Another reason why I loved this workshop was because I was finally able to work with Brandon. We never had the chance to work together and have been in the same class for now two semesters.

Antigone by Sophocles

I felt that this story that we talked about during the class was my favorite because we had a lot of fun making the character charts of each character individually. I was able to understand the point of view of what the class thought of each character. This lecture/ fishbowl had to be one of my favorites because Brandon, Connor Arthur, and I got to be on the council of what each kid wanted to describe each character which was so much fun.

A Street Car Named Desire by  Tennessee Willams

I have to admit out of all of the short stories in the short story unit this was my favorite. The reason this was the best short story was because I was able to fully understand each character by the chart from students' ideas and through lectures of us depicting the story. I was also able to understand the story better because it was very interesting compared to the rest of the short stories.
